Paddle Lakefest hosts a collection of paddle races on Stand-Up Paddleboards, Kayaks, and more! The relay race is accessible to all and doesn’t even require you to have your own boat.
Paddlefest 5K – The OG race. Bring your fastest vessel and challenge the masses in this winner-takes-all battle.
Lakefest Classic 10K – Test your hand at endurance at altitude. A beautiful and challenging 10K distance.
The Dooley Cup (20K) – A 20K paddle circumnavigating all of Big Bear Lake! Not for the faint of heart.
Paddle, Paddle, Pass Relay – No boat or experience required! This is our shortest race that gets your friends and family out on the water with you.

Friday night 8/22 is Athlete Welcome Night!
Lakefest HQ at Ski Beach opens at 4PM. Swing by to get the lay of the land and knock out check-in so your race morning is a breeze!
Boat Drop: Optional, with overnight security.
Boat Inspection & Registration: Paddle athletes can receive boat inspection and registration for Saturday’s race on Thursday or Friday at the East Launch Ramp OR purchase the Lake Permit add-on to the registration and we will have a permit waiting for you. All boats will still need to be inspected prior to permit being issued.
There will also be FRIDAY night boat drop and inspection at 8PM.
There is no on-site parking for Paddle Lakefest. There will be a secure boat drop-off area. Shuttle service is available from our satellite parking lot. This event is part of Lakefest, a “park and ride” event encouraging everyone to ride bikes or take public transportation to and from the venue. Limited parking is available Friday night only for Athlete Welcome Night.
